Hey, are you desperate to eat some fresh “offal”?
Here you can find the finest quality “freshly mashed” that day…
Wash it down with your favorite “Hoppy” and you’ll be hooked.
In the most dangerous Gotanda Yuraku-gai, you can ascend to heaven “anytime, anywhere”,right?
Hi, it’s “Drunk Uncle”!
Today I went to “Motsuyaki Ban” in Gotanda on my way home from work.
Finally, I’ve come to Gotanda… I can remember the numerous incidents and accidents, rip-offs and sad days in this neighborhood as if it were yesterday… I used to watch “Yoidore Death Star” a lot back then…
For me, this Drunk Uncle, it’s a nostalgic town where I used to work, a town that makes me feel at home; I’d head straight to Yuraku-gai at the Gotanda East Exit after work.
Gotanda is located at the foot of the upscale residential area known as Jonan Gozan, and historically it is a clean and upstanding area, home to Sony’s headquarters and Seisen Women’s University, an obviously “pure women’s university.” Nowadays, some IT startups are founded here, and some aren’t. Gotanda can’t be such a clean and upstanding area…can it?
While such high society elements are nearby, Gotanda itself is a town where a lot of “Stuff” flow in from all directions, both geographically and directionally, with couple-oriented “rest areas” along the train tracks in Nishi-Gotanda, and Yurakucho, a district with its drinking establishments and “sexy shops” in Higashi-Gotanda. Naturally, snatch and rip-off thefts by thugs, thugs, con artists, honey traps, and delinquent foreigners are rampant day and night, and it’s no coincidence that the recent “land fraud case” at Sekisui House occurred… By the way, the incident took place at the west exit, so why not stop by before you go out drinking?
And tonight it’s “Motsuyakiban”… There’s no need to talk about it, Gotanda’s “Adult Drink Supply Center” is my favorite place. It’s the place I visit when I’m happy, when I’m sad, when I’m rejected by the bar hostess for an after-party, and when I manage to get rejected even after meeting her… So, it’s been a while, shall we go?

The appearance is still good. The font is consistent. I’ve been to Nakameguro main store, Sangenjaya store, and other stores, but Gotanda store is the most comfortable. I’ve looked around the outside, so should I go inside?

You’ll be shown to the far right of the U-shaped counter. This seat is a little narrow, but it does have a deeper atmosphere. There are other table seats so it’s great for groups, but it’s always crowded so be careful. Today, the restaurant is packed with people.

I don’t really need to choose, but I check out the adult drinks menu. This is the place where sour drinks originated, but they don’t even look at that and of course I choose “Shiro Hoppy”, thank goodness…

Gulp! Well, that’s definitely true… What else would I drink if I didn’t drink this? Then next is the snacks…

As the restaurant’s name suggests, the recommended dish is the “Motsuyaki”. There are various cuts, right…? And look at the prices? Wow, super duper cheap… Why not order as much as you like of whatever you like? Gulp while looking at the menu! You can drink alcohol with the menu… Today I came with my friend, so I left it up to him to choose, but he really knows his “spots”… We ordered various types of motsuyaki, pork cutlet sashimi, macaroni salad, and more. By the way, all the motsuyaki are delicious, but the liver, kikuabura, kashira, champon, and oppai are recommended. Well, you can’t go wrong if you order the ones marked with a star, right?

There is a grill at the end of the counter. This is where they make all kinds of “grilled” dishes. Previously, the grill was done by a somewhat rude punk rocker type of guy, but perhaps this is a sign of the times, as the grill is now being managed by a young man who looks foreign. There seems to be a serious labor shortage in the food and beverage industry… Talking about complicated things makes me want to drink, so gulp! I’ll probably finish it all before the motsuyaki arrives…

The grilled offal is delivered like this… Gulp! I feel like I could drink it even in the photos looking back…
We drink while talking about old times and the future, and we talk about what to do from here because we’re in Gotanda. We wash away our memories with alcohol and then our “Yoidore Charge” is complete. We pay and leave the store.
Hey, come to Gotanda, where there are so many “that shops” and “such shops”, and then go home after just one…? No way… It’s too early for the house, so after touring the places that hold memories, I’ll just have to go to one more place…
